By now you should have heard the rumblings that we are saving for a new boat. This will be the first of a number of bagpacking slots to raise some funds for that and also for the RNLI cos they are a dandy bunch of folks. Our first bagpacking session will be taking place in Dunnes in Cornelscourt and we would really appreciate your help. Sign up on the doodle.
We had a really successful start to this RNLI Sea Survival Workshop. A huge thanks to the crew for Dun Laoghaire RNLI who came down to give us some tips on being safe out on the water. MIRP DANIO! Looking forward to the second instalment.
Screening with Q&A
The first of a three part series exploring the beauty of Ireland’s Atlantic waters; both life on the surface as well as the deep coral reefs in the North Atlantic, a first in any TV production.
Presented by natural history filmmaker, cameraman and ocean conservationist, Ken O’Sullivan, Ireland’s Deep Atlantic is a new series due to broadcast on RTÉ later this April in association with Sea Fever Productions and the Irish Underwater Council (CFT).
Cinema and food will be FREE of charge! We will ask you to make a donation towards RNLI fundraising. Thank you!
CFT Coxswain Powerboat handling course.
The course consists of 1-day class based session followed by a series of practical sessions where the candidate is required to log 10 hours boat hours.
Achill Island is one of the gems of West Ireland with dramatic cliffs and perfect beaches. No wonder the scuba diving here is so good.
We used to say, We can launch where we want, we can dive where we want!!!
Guess we are bringing this to a whole new level now!!!
Our current plan is to build a giant flying Manta Ray, wrapped in plastic debris, the team members, free the Manta before the launch and return the manta back to the ocean!!!
If you want to get involved or think you can help us win this race and get €3,000 for the club, please contact the event organiser (Mehdi).
This would be a great day out for all club members and families.
What better way to relax after the stress of exams than taking a trip to the Saltee Islands!
The Saltees are 5km south of Kilmore Quay, County Wexford, and are a group of uninhabited islands which host one of the worlds major bird colonies and a breeding ground for grey seals! Being a hiding place for both pirates and rebellion leaders, the Saltees hide as much secrets beneath the water as they do above.
With wrecks such as the SS Lennox, the U104, the Lismore and topographical sites such as the Connigmor and Connigbeg Rocks. What better way to start the summer than to take in the South Easts best diving!
